Fees2010-2011 Burlington Soccer Club Fee Structure
Burlington Soccer Club prides itself on providing the most advanced soccer training program in the Alamance and surrounding areas at a very affordable cost. We are able to do this by providing our players with experienced coaches that are passionate about the game and enjoy teaching the game to a new generation. Quality coaching is one of the most important ingredients to maximizing a player's development. In order to solidify and retain our coaching staff, we need to compensate them for their expertise and time. New structure for 2010 has been implemented, with Taylor Saxe being named the first Executive Director of the Club. Taylor will be responsible for the day to day operations for the Club, along with continuing to coach multiple teams. This is an exciting opportunity for Taylor and all the members of the Club and feel it will position the Club for continued growth and development. Chris Neal, Elon University Women's Head Coach, will continue as the U10 Academy Director. BSC offers the only NCYSA U10 Academy program in Alamance County. Chris hold a USSF 'A' license, the highest license issued by the USSF. Alex Douyon, the new Elon Assistant Coach and Taylor Saxe will serve as Age Group Coordinators. Alex will be responsible for the U11-U12 age groups, the Elon Assistant will be responsible for the U13-14 age groups and Taylor will be responsible for the U15-U18 age groups. Both Alex and Taylor are former Elon University soccer players that have been coaching at BSC for numerous years.
The majority of our staff coaches have played NCAA collegiate soccer and we have three coaches from the Elon University Division I soccer teams on our staff, along with the head men's soccer coach from Greensboro College (Giovanni Vlahos). We are also very fortunate to have the Elon players come out and help with the Team Camp and other soccer clinics throughout the year. BSC is always working to identify additional coaches and will continue to do so. You will see that we place coaches with multiple teams, as we want to maximize the exposure the players have to these talented coaches. You will see this same type approach throughout clubs in North Carolina.
The Club fee structure will be slightly increased for the 2010-2011 seasonal years due to the need to retain our quality coaches and improve our club infrastructure. Even with the slight increase, our cost is still lower than most area clubs. Besides compensating coaches, our club fees are mainly utilized to register our players with North Carolina Youth Soccer Association and pay for referees. However, we also hold a pre-season Team Camp at no additional charge. At most organizations, this type of service is an additional charge.
We feel our fee structure is one of the most competitive in the state of North Carolina and one of the best values in the State. In order to continue to offer our services at such a reasonable rate, it is imperative that fees are paid according to the plan below. Any variation needs to have prior approval from Club Treasurer and President. We look forward to working with the players for this upcoming seasonal year and will work hard to meet and exceed expectations.
