Game Cancellation Policy

Cancellation of NCYSA Classic Games/Referee Fees:
**This policy pertains to classic and academy (U8-10) games played on BSC fields only. It does not apply to weather closures or acts of god.**

BSC teams may request to reschedule a game scheduled on a BSC approved field within the following time frames with no penalty:
1. Any game scheduled for a Friday, Saturday or Sunday must be cancelled/rescheduled with the BSC scheduler NO LATER than 1pm on the Monday before the game.
2. Any game scheduled on a weeknight (Monday - Thursday) must be cancelled/rescheduled with the BSC scheduler no later than 5 days before the scheduled game date.

If a team determines that it needs to cancel a BSC Classic/Academy scheduled match after the above stated deadlines, the team is responsible to pay the referees as they have already been scheduled for the original match. The BSC team manager or coach is responsible to notify the non-BSC team of their financial responsibility. Cancelled matches cannot be rescheduled until the total amount of the referee fees for the cancelled match are received in the BSC Youth office. Checks should be made payable to Burlington Soccer Club with the match number written on the check and sent to the attention of the Administrator at the BSC office (2779 South Church Street #311, Burlington, NC 27215). If the cancellation is mutual AND within the stated window, teams can decide to split the cost of the referee fees. Referee fees may be found at the NC Youth Soccer website, In the event of a weather cancellation or field closure, the BSC team manager will need to contact the opposing team to discuss possible reschedule dates and times. Once dates and times have been agreed upon the BSC team manager will need to contact the BSC field scheduler.
